Hello, my name’s Andrew and this is an easy technique you can use to put on Injinji toe socks in under ten seconds.
Background
Back in 2017 I switched over to using merino wool Injinji toe socks exclusively, because they were much more breathable and temperature regulating than regular socks, and also gave my toes lots of room to spread out, which was perfect for running and hiking in barefoot and zero-drop shoes.
But the one annoying thing was that, because of the separate toes, it would take twice as long to get them adjusted properly.
So I came up with this three-part technique to get toe socks on in less than ten seconds and here’s how it goes…

1. Scrunch
The first thing you want to do, especially if you’ve got a higher toe sock, is to put your thumbs inside and then scrunch the sock up, pulling the fabric toward you until you reach the separate toes.

2. Slide
Next, slide your foot into the front section and pull up the ankle of the sock, so that your big toe goes in first (it doesn’t have to be perfect yet).

3. Snug
Lastly, use your left thumb and right index finder to spread out your big toe and second toe, pulling the sock down around them and the repeating the process for the rest of your toes and then giving the sock a tug to remove any folds.
Scrunch…slide…snug…done!

As a bonus tip when you’re taking Injinji toe socks off, I usually just peel them away from my foot, so that they end up inside out, and then hang them on a rack, so they’re dry and fresh smelling the next time I wear them.
